Job Positions available

 Young Learner Teachers

Qualifications and requirements: Native speaker of English, degree preferred but not essential, TEFL certification +YL extension or PGCE, minimum of 1 years experience to start immediately. We are looking for qualified, motivated and experienced teachers with an enthusiastic approach towards working with very young children, teenagers and adults.

Our youngest classes start from 24 months but you would also work with older children and young adults. As this is a challenging job we provide excellent rates of pay and resources. 

Business English teachers

Qualifications and requirements: Native speaker of English,  degree preferred but not essential, TEFL certification a RSA DELTA a definite plus. We are looking for qualified, experienced teachers with a business background who are dynamic and enthusiastic in and out of the classroom.  You will have a variety of students and courses, such as One 2 One,  groups, blended learning,  private students and corporate. The courses held at school or in companies.

Rate of pay depends on experience and qualification and we guarantee you a fixed number of hours with a 12 month contract following a short trial period.

Location Hallo! is situated in a green and quiet suburb called Borgo Panigale. It is strategically located – only 10 minutes from the airport and near Borgo Panigale train station which takes you straight to Bologna Central Station in 5 minutes. You can reach the city center by bus in about 20 minutes. Near the school you can find a shopping mall, a library, and of course bars and restaurants where you can relax and try excellent Italian food.

If you are moving to Bologna there is excellent accommodation near Hallo! which offers special prices to Hallo! Staff.  It includes a techno gym , Sky TV and Internet  Wi-Fi. Two minutes from the school and on a direct bus route in to the city centre.

 A 2 day teacher training course with 8 / 10 participants concentrating on the Primary age group.

 Teaching Young Learners

The sessions would be focused on teaching Young learners from age 4 – 8. Sessions are given using techniques which teachers can then transfer to the YL classroom.

 Sessions on the following will take place over the two days with each session lasting 90 minutes.

• Stages of Child Development
• Classroom management and discipline techniques
• Lesson Planning for younger learners
• Storytelling techniques
• Promoting early literacy
• Using songs and chants
• Sourcing and creating materials
• Arts and crafts in the primary classroom

 Training Times: 10.00 – 13.00 / 14.00 – 17.00 (6hrs training per day)

• The course will be held by a trainer of the British Council from Milan.
• Teachers attending the course will receive a certificate of attendance.
• The course is open to all teachers, of all languages, not only English  teachers.

 The training course will take place at Hallo! Servizi Linguistici premises in March 2011 – the date is yet to be defined

• scrivere un’E-mail presentando se stessi ed il proprio lavoro
• scrivere nello stile formale ed informale
• dare e offrire informazioni e/o suggerimenti
• risolvere problematiche connesse alla propria attività lavorativa

 I contenuti del corso saranno svolti attraverso:

• ascolti
• role-play e simulazioni
• attività interattive utili e basate sulla vostra realtà aziendale

I corsi si svolgeranno dal 13 settembre al 6 ottobre, ogni lunedì e mercoledì dalle 18-20

Livelli*: Pre-Intermediate e Intermediate

* il livello di ciascun partecipante verrà verificato attraverso il nostro test di valutazione

 Modalità:

• 5 sessioni da 2 ore dedicate a Telephoning
• 3 sessioni da 2 ore riservate a E-Mailing
• 4 ore di Project Work

per un tot. di 20 ore
